A Diamond In The Sky

A Diamond In The Sky is a tale about four best friends making their transition from adolescences to adulthood. The story opens with the friends contemplating their senior year as they realize the decisions made today will dictate the life they lead. Throughout the course of the year, they fight, fall in love, and deal with moral issues that seem to plague the lives of our youth today: peer pressure, parental pressure, teenage pregnancy, STDs, and HIV and Aids.

The trials and tribulations that this group of friends endure also tests the strength of their love and friendship with one another. As teenagers they also find opposition from their parents who view themselves as molding their children and giving them a better life. As each person deals with the stress and pressure, their decisions weigh heavily on the others as they stretch the boundaries of love and friendship.

One tragedy separates the group; another brings them together again. As adults they realize what their adolescence minds could not comprehend. Nothing can replace or is as valuable as the love of friends. A Diamond In The Sky illustrates the depth of friendship…and it’s unconditional love.
